A custom compact cylinder is a short-body cylinder whose body length, mounting holes, port position and rod end are designed to fit your machine when standard compact dimensions do not.
It is used in moulds, fixtures and special machines that must match an existing hole pattern exactly; a drawing or the dimensions of the current part are enough to start.
