What Is a Double-Position Tandem Cylinder?
In a double-position tandem cylinder the two pistons stroke independently. Pressurising them separately stops the rod at an intermediate position as well as at both ends — three positions from one body.
It replaces two separate cylinders and a linkage in sorting, diverting and stepped-pushing tasks that need a mid-stop.
| Gives | Three positions: retracted, middle, extended |
| Control | Two directional valves or position logic |
| Typical use | Sorting, diverting, stepped pushing |
